| << | ![]() While the ducks and swans were chasing each other the Moorhens were having their own private territorial disputes. One moorhen persistently challenged a pair of birds that plainly regarded their end of the pond as rightfully theirs.
Moorhens are quite surprisingly aggressive and can have really nasty fights if they actually get hold of each other. Usually, as with most birds, the activity is confined to chasing off interlopers. |
