I included this photo of 'Odile' which was in the Rally because it also featured the Salter Bros. 'steamer' Mary Stuart. The Traditional boat rally is essentially for traditionally built (i.e. not fibreglass!) boats, they don't actually have to be old; 'Mary Stuart is a rebuilt Dutch boat and dates from 1956; it conforms in pattern to the Salters layout that has not changed since Edwardian days, so it's eminently traditional if not particularly old. 'Mary Stuart' is currently working the Henley - Reading service, I've been on her a couple of times, it's a particularly good way to see the River in this area as a considerable part of the path in this area is diverted away from the river in the vicinty of Shiplake.
