A view of the autumn colours in Blenheim Park seen across the Queen Pool from the town entrance. This area is where Woodstock Manor used to stand; this was used by Kings from Henry II onwards and the future Queen Elizabeth was held here during the reign of Queen Mary. It was demolished (in the face of strong opposition from the architect Vanbrugh) when the Grand Bridge was built, and the rubble went into the bridge.
