I've always thought it ironic that the War memorial commemorating the artillery in World War I and other battles should have been located outside the St Georges Hospital on London's Hyde Park Corner. The former hospital is now a hotel.
I hadn't really noticed the frieze around the artillery memorial, but the light seemed to catch it particularly well today. I intend to go back and take some more photos when the light is good.
Tourists sometimes mistake the St George's Hospital for Buckingham Palace!
