A view across the Queen Pool of Blenheim's lake towards the Town Gate, this area is surrounded by the many beech trees planted by 'Capability Brown, many of which amazingly survive although they have been there for well over 200 years. The Cedars were, I believe, planted after World War II as a memorial to those who were killed. I do remember them with guards around them to protect them from damage by cattle and deer.
